This tool is for removing old grout and applying new grout on one small tiled area only. Existing tiles stay in place. It may include a backsplash, small bathroom wall area, shower wall section, or small floor section. It does not include tile replacement, waterproofing repair, shower pan repair, wall rebuilding, mold remediation, plumbing repair, structural repair, or full bathroom or kitchen renovation. Real costs can change based on local prices, grout type, grout color, tile size, joint width, old grout condition, surface condition, moisture problems, tool needs, drying time, and cleanup.

- Remove old grout to a useful depth without damaging tile edges.
- Vacuum and wipe joints clean before applying new grout.
- Use a similar grout color for the easiest blend.
- Pack grout into joints, wipe excess, and clean haze after it firms up.
